Sausage and Potato Cassarole

1/4 c. oil 1/2 c. flour 2 t. salt 1/4 t. pepper 4 c. milk 8 to 10 potatoes 1 lb ground sausage, browned 1 c. shredded american cheese Combine oil, flour, salt and pepper in large skillet. cook and stir over med. heat until hot. Whisk in milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat. Layer 1/2 potatoes 1/2 of the milk and flour mixture 1/2 browned sausage into ungreased 13 x 9" pan. Repeat layers. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake uncovered @ 350 degrees for 30 min.
