For a different and more Italian flavor, substitute Gruyrer Cheese for Parmesean and add 1/2 tsp fresh ground italian seasoning to the cream sauce.
1-1/2 lb. potatoes peeled and thinly sliced. 3 cups whipping cream 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley 2 garlic cloves, chopped 1-1/2 tsp.salt 1/4 tsp.ground pepper 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese Preheat oven to 400. Layer potatoes in a 13 X 9 baking dish. Stir together cream and next 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Pour cream mix over potatoes. Bake at 400 for 30 minutes stirring every 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake 15 minutes more until bubbly and golden brown
