This is a tried and true recipe. Put it in the crock and forget about it.
1 can red kidney beans, rinse well 1 can pinto beans, rinse well 1 large can of crushed tomatoes 1 can tomato sauce [size depends on how thick you want your chili] 2 pds ground chuck, browned 2 medium onions, chopped fine 1 green pepper, coarsely chopped 2 cloves garlic, crushed 2 to 3 Tbs chili powder 1 tsp pepper 1 tsp cumin Salt to taste Hot sauce/Tabasco if you want it spicy Put all ingredients in crock-pot in order listed. Stir once. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours or high 5-6 hours. Top with cheddar cheese an serve with crackers.
